# DarkEmail

> DarkEmail is a free, open-source temporary (disposable) email service that lets users generate anonymous, throwaway email addresses in seconds — no registration required. The service helps users protect their digital privacy, avoid spam, and safely sign up on websites they don't fully trust. Operated by independent infrastructure (self-hosted Mailpit + Vercel serverless + Redis), with no permanent logging of email content.

DarkEmail is operated by IT Booster, a Brazilian technology company focused on privacy, infrastructure and open-source software. The codebase is open-source on GitHub. The service receives real SMTP mail at brazilian-domain mailboxes (`*@darkemail.school`) and discards everything after a configurable TTL (default 1 hour).
